Psalm 64

Psalms 64
“Nothing influences the quality of life more than how we respond to trouble”
                                                              Erwin   G Tieman

            HEAR ME!
            HELP ME!
            HIDE ME!

The wonderful privilege of each believer.
David’s circumstances are different than ours but the cry of his heart is the same.
It is a daily battle. Who of us gets out of bed without crying out Lord, hear me, help me, hide me (under that shadow of Your Wing-I feel safe there Lord,)

We, who are His children, don’t speak to the air. We call out, crying daddy, and we fully expect Him to come running. That’s what daddy’s do.

He comes to where we are and His words, “What’s the matter HONEY?” is all we need to here. Dad is here. He heard me,   Oh dad!   Can’t you hear Him say, “Its okay, Daddy is here.”   Then an automatic response occurs, He opens His arms and welcomes you into a familiar safe place, and a place where you know you are going to be okay.

Someone calls out, “How are you?”    your response is , “I’ m okay now, Dad is here”.

Psalm 20:7 some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we (I) trust in the name of the LORD our God.   He’s my dad and He loves me.

Dad is here, I am better now!

He says, “Okay now, what’s the matter?” How we open our hearts and just blurt all all we are feeling. My enemies are all around me. They threaten me, they are brutal with their words. I can’t sleep.   I can’t stand up against them. I can’t, I can’t daddy, “Would You?”

“Would You, hide me from their words, from their schemes. They gossip, they tell lies about me. They don’t even know are understand me.   Their tongues, are cruel and evil.   Dad, do you hear them?”

I lay awake imagining what they are saying. They practice   their skill of using words that injure. They sharpen their talk until it is the most deadly and then they search out the innocent,   to practice on.   Their joy is shoot out words like an arrow to kill at first blow or to injure and watch the effects of their fine tuned skills. They crouch behind bushes and fine someone to attack and destroy them   for their own good pleasure.   They laugh and encourage each other, giving advice on   how to be more effective in their destruction.   Dad these are innocent lives!   They don’t think You are noticing. They don’t believe you care about your children.    They brag and say, “We have devised the perfect plan, we will destroy them with WORDS! We aren’t afraid of   anything. or anyone.

BUT GOD- vs 7

You will defend up, you will raise us up!

Our Dad
            Knows the enemy
He is able to defend you
He will take their words and use them against them
            He will ruin them
            Will bring scorn on them
He will bring fear on everyone

My Dad will get their attention- the harm they wanted to do to me will bring Him Glory.   They will understand that He alone is
            Mighty
            Amazing

They will be terrorized by His power

But we who love Him
            We will rejoice
We will hide in Him safe and secure
We will sing praise to Him.

HE’S OUR DAD!!!   “What time I am afraid, I will trust Him” Psa 56:2
Cause….He holds my world in His Hand!

Take my heart/ Lord will you take my heart/ as I surrender to Your will
I confess You are my righteousness/ And until You move me I'll be still And know that You are God.

Chorus:
You hold my world in Your hands/ You hold my world in Your hands and I am amazed at Your love/ I am amazed that You love me
You hold my world in Your hands/ You hold my world in Your hands and I'm not afraid my world is safe/ in Your Hands Oh/ In Your hands

Verse 2:
Take my life/ Lord will You take my life/ You are the reason that I live
I believe You have forgiven me/And by Your grace I will forgive
And know that You are God/ And know that You are God

You won't let go of me/ You won't let go of me/ You won't let go of me/ You won't let go Never let go
You will take care of me/ You will take care of me/ You will take care of me/ You will take care Always take care
You hold my world in Your hands/ You hold my world/ And you won't let go..
