Psalm 62
I’ll set my gaze on Him alone-and trust in Him completely.
When your faith is wavering Strengthen yourself in the Lord - Go to the Rock.
As far as I am concerned, God turned into good (He said He would Romans 8:28) what you meant for evil. He brought me to the high position I have today so I could save the lives of many people. Genesis 50:20
Then Jonathan, Saul's son, arose and went to David in the woods and strengthened his hand in God. 1 Samuel 23:16 David was now in serious trouble because his men were very bitter about losing their wives and children, and they began to talk of stoning him. But David found strength in the LORD his God. 1 Samuel 30:6. You will be blessed in the work of your hands- hold up their arms David’s faith in God strengthened his arm
Psalm 89:18 Yes, our protection comes from the LORD, and He, the Holy One of Israel, has given us our king.
We can trust in Him because He is our salvation. Because He is our Rock, because He is our strength and our refuge, trust in Him at all times. Pour out our heart before Him. He is our hope
Look at the word ONLY (alone) verses 2, 4, 5, 6,
Vs 2 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved.
I am leaving it up to Him.
Vs 4 They only consult to cast him down from his high position; They delight in lies; They
bless with their mouth, But they curse inwardly.
Vs 5 My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
Vs 6 He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved.
Vs 7 My salvation and my honor come from God alone. He is my refuge, a rock where no
enemy can reach me.
Only God can help us
Only men will hurt us
V2 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. ESVÂ like a ship that is at anchor, tossed about by the flesh, what is seen and heard, but not swept away.
Look at the difference in verse 6
V6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress where I will not be shaken.
David starts with trust but God strengthens him in his faith and his faith says a
I will not be shaken.
V2-my fortress, who I am in God will not be shaken
V3- 4 Men see me as one man, a broken-down wall or a tottering fence-they have plans to destroy me. They lie behind my back and praise me to my face. But they don’t know me!
Vs 5-6 All of me-all that I am is waiting quietly before God-He is my hope. He is my fortress, where I WILL NOT BE SHAKEN
Paul says I am in Christ. I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ now lives in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me. Gal 2:20
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary, they shall walk, and not faint.
Isaiah 40:31
David is reaching inward and then to the Truth
He alone is my rock abides/hides in
He alone is my salvation
He alone is my fortress a place to live not just a rock but a tall, strong, high place.
In Him I will not be shaken
He alone is my Victory
He alone is the source of Honor
He alone is my refuge
He alone is my safety out of reach from my enemies

In verse 8 David tells all the people ... and that includes us! … to tell God everything that is "in our hearts". This means everything that we think about. God is our shelter as well, if we ask him for help.
V9 Air does not weigh very much. David says that people do not weigh very much either! He means that they are not important. He is writing about the people that do not trust in God.
Nothing plus God = everything
Everything minus God = nothing.
If everything is working for you and everything is working, everything is clicking on all cylinders but if it is not revolving around God it is nothing. If you have no resources, no answers, nothing but Nothing Plus God is everything you need.
God is our rock, our fortress. He shall not be shaken.
If we are in Him we will not be shaken.
